A Dozen Things For Internet Marketing Success Part 2 of 2

7. Create Social Media Profiles
Social Media is the easiest way for you to market yourself to customers new and old. However, the biggest possible advantage is you are able to monitor what is going on with the competition. Currently the three most used social media networks for business are MySpace, FaceBook and Twitter. Using social media you will be able to publish RSS feeds, build mailing list, leave comments on industry-related post as well as build your own social networks.

8. Create RSS Feeds For Your Business Site and Blog
With the rise in sales of smartphones and mobile devices it is a wise choice to invest in creating an RSS feed. RSS or Real Simple Syndication enables people to see what's going on at your site without visiting the site itself. People outside of the workplace can keep up with what's going on while on the go. RSS Feeds also have been know to take on a viral effect in some cases. You may also want to look into Pod Casting and Video Casting.

9. Add New, Update Old, and Archive All Content
It is very important to keep your information as current and accurate as possible. The easiest way to do this is to add new content, update old content and archive all content. In other words if you have written an article on the iPhone 3G you should edit that article to reflect that there is a newer version of the phone and link to another article you have written about the New iPhone 3GS. As accuracy of information in any industry is crucial, I would suggest updating your archives at least twice a year depending on your industry and how fast advances are made.

10. Get And Check Your Analytics Regularly
Marketing is always an ongoing process simply because what is working today isn't necessarily going to work tomorrow. You will need to check site traffic, conversion rates, customer participation, landing page comparison, and regularly monitor all of your data. This is the only way to find out what is working for your business in terms of advertising. The results of doing this regularly will save you both time and money as you will be able to quickly dump those things that are costing you money verses making you money.

11. Create Inbound Links
Submit articles on your niche to the different article directories found online, like ezinearticles.com, ehow.com, ArticlesBase.com, and buzzle.com to name a few. You should be able to find some backlink monitoring software at seotoolbag.com or iwebtool.com. Creating and monitoring inbound links will help you build outstanding SEO authority.

12. Don't Create Duplicate Content
In other words if you are using cut and paste or some service that provides auto-content...STOP. This will likely create duplicate content somewhere on the net. You must produce unique and informative content, contrary to popular belief that you can use just auto updating content and succeed.
